Small, rural, and Indigenous communities are finding themselves on the frontlines of climate impacts with limited capacity to prepare.
Roots for Resilience is a pan-Canadian program developed and delivered by The Resilience Institute and the Canadian Red Cross in a unique partnership aimed at inspiring an ecosystem of change in disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation.
The aim of this program is to highlight and strengthen the resilience of people and communities across Canada with a focus on reducing vulnerabilities to climate-induced disasters in small, rural, and Indigenous communities.
By taking a community-centred, holistic, and interconnected approach, we will strive to strengthen access to inclusive, relevant, and effective resources to enhance resilience to climate impacts.
